Acupuncture returns to Resolution: welcome, Will Black
Some news we've been excited to share for a while: acupuncture is officially part of Resolution again. William Black — Will, once you've met him — has joined our team at the International Lane studio as our acupuncturist, and his schedule is now open for booking.
Who is Will?
Will is a nationally certified acupuncturist with a Master's in Acupuncture from Pacific Rim College and a background in psychology. He came to Chinese medicine the way many of our clients come to us — through his own health struggles. A severe concussion as a teenager left him with lingering brain fog, cystic acne, and other challenges that conventional approaches couldn't fully resolve. Changes in diet, acupuncture, and other supportive treatments produced a profound shift in how he understood and related to his own body — an experience that opened the door to a lifetime of study.
His clinical focus is restoring the body's internal balance: releasing obstructions, regulating circulation, and supporting the body's innate capacity to heal. Alongside acupuncture, his practice draws on a range of time-honored tools — cupping, gua sha, acupressure, moxibustion, and tuina bodywork — woven together with mindfulness practices rooted in Taoism and qigong.
What Will treats
Will specializes in chronic pain, stress, anxiety, neurological conditions, and digestive health. He works especially well with people who are ready to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and move toward a more intentional way of living. If that sounds like where you are — or where you'd like to be — you'll get along famously.
What's on the menu
Consultation with Treatment — $115. Required for all new acupuncture clients: a thorough intake conversation about your health history, goals, and what your body is communicating — plus a full treatment in the same extended session, so your care is personalized from the very first appointment.
Acupuncture Treatment — $85. A one-hour session addressing what's going on beneath the surface. Needles are placed at specific points along the body's energetic pathways to release tension, restore circulation, and support your body's natural ability to heal and regulate itself — whether you're managing chronic pain, stress, digestive issues, or simply seeking deeper balance.
Why this matters to us
Resolution has always been about resolving root causes rather than chasing symptoms — it's in the name. Massage and acupuncture approach that goal from different traditions, and they complement each other remarkably well: plenty of conditions respond best to both, and having them under one roof means your practitioners can actually coordinate your care instead of guessing at what the other is doing.
It's also, frankly, a homecoming. Longtime clients will remember that acupuncture was part of our downtown practice for years. Bringing it back — with a practitioner of Will's caliber — has been on our wish list since we settled into the International Lane studio.
How to book
Will's schedule is open now, and new-client consultation slots are the ones to grab. You can read his full bio, learn more about acupuncture at Resolution, or book directly with Will online. If you're not sure whether acupuncture fits your situation, call us at (608) 665-0392 and we'll talk it through honestly.
